Restore old decals with Liquid Decal Film before putting the decal in water.

Once exposed to air, sunlight, moisture, great swings of temperature or general abuse, decals will go bad. Liquid Decal Film solves that problem. Coat old decals with Liquid Decal Film before putting them in water, just to be sure. Using a small brush, coat the decal you want to use, allow to dry for 20 minutes and then apply the decal as usual. 

Liquid Decal Film can also be used to make your own decals. Use decal paper (unused margins on some decals for example) and draw  your own decal using ink or paint, or dry transfer an image. The coat with Liquid Decal Film and proceed as usual.
