Created in 1996, Ambrosius is a collaboration between Mrs. Katalin Poszony, the owner of Ambrosius and the Cluj-Napoca Waldorf school. Ambrosius felted dolls are ethically made in Romania by skilled artisans, typically older women and young mothers working from home to support their families and people with disabilities. Profits from the sale of Ambrosius figures also help to fund a Waldorf school in Cluj-Napoca and education for disadvantaged children in rural Transylvania too. Ambrosius fairies are proudly made with love and patience, providing work to the lowest income families in the EU.
